Actress Farrah Fawcett, who was most famous for playing Jill Munro in the 1970s hit TV series
Charlie's Angels has lost her 3 year fight against cancer.
Her battle with anal cancer was chronicled in the TV documentary called Farrah's Story, shown
earlier this year.
She was first diagnosed with cancer in 2006, and began treatment, including chemotherapy and
surgery. Just 4 months later, she announced on her 60th birthday that Fawcett was, at that point,
cancer free, saying "This is an extraordinarily happy day for me and my family. I hope that my news
might offer some level of inspiration to others who unfortunately must continue to fight the
disease.
Less than four months later she was told a malignant polyp was found in the area where she had been
treated for the initial cancer.
Her partner Ryan O'Neal, who was at her side when she passed away said "After a long and brave
battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away."
Ryan, who has been with Farrah on and off since 1982, recently revealed that they had decided to
finally get married, but sadly they never got to exchange their vows. He said "although this is an
extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we
shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people
around the world."
Jaclyn Smith who starred alongside Farrah in Charlie's Angels said "Farrah had courage, she had
strength, and she had faith. And now she has peace as she rests with the real angels."
She was married to the star of The Six Million Dollar Man, Lee Majors, from 1973 to 1982. Farrah had
one son, Redmond, who is currently serving a prison sentence for drug offences.
Farrah was a pop culture figure in the 1970s and 1980s. Her hairstyle was emulated by millions of
young women and her infamous red bathing-suit poster broke sales records, making her an
international sex symbol.
In 1995, she was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Thank you for courageously leaving behind such a descriptive videography of your fight against the physical, emotional, and spiritual battle you confronted head on. I pray that your legacy of faith, peace, hope, and love will sustain and lead Ryan and your son, Redmond, through their remaining days here on earth. Thank you for leaving behind such a beautiful, vital memory for family, friends, and fans to dwell upon. God HAS blessed and finally freed you of cancer's shackles!

A TRUE HERO
This is too all of Farrah's family and friend's. Farrah never wanted a public display like other star's. I am glad it is private with Farrah's family and friend's!!!! And I would like to say thank-you to Alana Stewart for her love and devotion, as well as Ryan and deeply caring doctors. She had CLASS and GRACE she showed it all the way through until she went to sleep in peace!! Hang in there Redmond,your MOM loves you so much. What doesn't kill you makes you STRONGER!!! P.S. Alana you did a great job on the video cam.I hope you write a book. Farrah would be so proud!You both were quite a twosome!I would rather have a select number of close friend's than a room full of acquaints.Stay close and remember how much she loved you all! Life is too short to sweat the small stuff. PEACE&LOVE
